Bringing light to even one rural Indian household can help improve the lives of the whole family. Lighting up a household without light has been shown to improve the education of the children as well as improving the financial condition of the entire family.

Your donation will provide solar panels, batteries and CFL lighting to a whole household.

Light Up a Village
By bringing light to an entire village your donation will improve countless lives. By installing even a 1kW system villagers can run lights, fans, computers, refrigerator, charge cell phones and run simple household appliances.

Your donation for a village will bring a renewable energy power plant to the village.

Working with the Government of India

We are currently working with the Government of India (GOI) to light up rural India villages. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy is sponsoring a program where it will pay up to 75% of a hybrid system when used to light up rural villages. You can be part of this endeavor by funding the remaining ex-works costs. Here is how the program works.
